It is imperativethat you read all safety
_warnings
before lighting the pilot.
2.
Turn the gas control/temperatureknob
counterclockwise _to the "OFF" setting.
3.
Wait ten (10) minutes to clear out any gas. If you then
smell gas, STOP!
Follow" B" in the safety
label. If you do not
smell gas, go to the next step.
4.
Turn the gas control/temperatureknob clockwiseCto
"PILOT". See Figure 'B'.
5.
Press the gas control/temperature knob all the way
in and hold it in. The knob should travel in about
1/4 inch (6.35 ram) if it is set to "PILOT" correctly.
While holdinq the qas control/temperature knob in,
click the iqniter button continuously (about once a
second) for up to 90 seconds or until Status Liqht
beqins to blink.
6.
When the status light starts blinking, releasethe
gas control/temperatureknob. Set the gas control/

temperature knob to the desiredsetting. See Figure 'C'.
If the status light does not start blinking within 90
seconds, repeat steps 2 through 5 up to THREE (3)
times, waiting 10 minutes between lighting attempts.
The circuitry in this advanced qas valve requires
that you wait 10 minutes between liqhtinq attempts.
If the statuslightturnssolidred, releasethe gas
control/temperature knoband repeatsteps 2 through5
(waiting10 minutesbeforeattemptingto relightthe pilot).
If the status light does not start blinking after three
lightingattempts, turn the gas control/temperatureknob
to "OFF" and call a qualified servicetechnician or your
gas supplier.
_Hotter

changing temperature.
