4. Remove the PCI riser cage. See the "Removing the PCI Riser Cage"
section in Chapter 3, "Installing Hardware Options."
5. Install the Remote Insight board in expansion slot 1 on the PCI riser
cage. See the "Installing an Expansion Board" section in Chapter 3,
"Installing Hardware Options."
6. Locate the Remote Insight interface cable that ships standard with the
ProLiant DL380 Generation 2 server. The cable is located adjacent to
the tape drive bay.
7. Connect the 16-pin connector on the Remote Insight interface cable to
the connector on the expansion board
8. Connect the 30-pin connector on the Remote Insight interface cable to
the Remote Management connector on the PCI riser cage

9. Install the PCI riser cage. See the "Installing Non-Hot-Plug Expansion
Boards" section in Chapter 3, "Installing Hardware Options."
10. Install the access panel. See the "Installing the Access Panel" section in
Chapter 3, "Installing Hardware Options."
11. Insert the server into the rack. See the "Inserting the Server into the
Rack" section in Chapter 4, "Installing the Server."
