Using the [Setup] menu

[Clock Set], [Economy] and [Auto Review] are important for clock setting and
battery life. Please check these before use.
• For details about the setting procedure in the [Setup] menu (→43)
Item

[Battery]

Specify the battery
type so that the correct
remaining battery power
will be displayed.

[Clock Set]

(→24, 25)

[Beep]

Change or mute the
beep/shutter sounds.

[Volume]

Adjust volume of sound
from speakers (7 levels).

[Monitor Display]

Adjust brightness and
color of the LCD monitor.
It is suggested to use the
default settings. These
are intended to provide
a preview of the actual
picture, as accurately as
possible.
[Alkaline] /
Select the type of batteries used.
Set time, date, and display format.

[0] / [1] / [2] / [3] / [4] / [5] / [6]
• Cannot be used to adjust TV speaker volume when
connected to TV.
Also, the camera speaker will not emit any sound.
Press
to select the setting item and press
make adjustments
Press [MENU/SET]
• Some subjects may look different from their actual
appearance, but the recorded picture will not be affected.
• Cannot be used to set brightness and contrast when
[High Angle] is selected under [Monitor Luminance].
