Scene Mode (Shooting Suited to Scenes)
l Museum
Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for example, in museums and art
galleries) or in other settings in which you do not want to use the flash.
• The camera focuses at the center of the frame.
• The camera captures a series of up to ten images while the shutter-release button is held
all the way down, and the sharpest image in the series is automatically selected and
saved (BSS (Best Shot Selector)).
m Fireworks show
Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst of light from a firework.
• The camera focuses at infinity.
• The focus indicator (A6) always glows green when the shutter-release button is pressed
halfway.
n Black and white copy
Provides clear images of text or drawings on a whiteboard or in print.
• The camera focuses at the center of the frame.
• Use with macro mode (A56) when shooting a subject at close distance.
o Backlighting
Use when light is coming from behind the subject, throwing features or details into
shadow. The flash fires automatically to "fill in" (illuminate) shadows.
• The camera focuses at the center of the frame.
