When the indicators provide no help

If this unit is not functioning normally, check the following notes before requesting repairs. However, if the unit fails to
improve, contact your dealer for advice.
At these times
Power does not turn on
No images appear
Images are fuzzy or out of
focus
Images appear dark
The remote control does not
work
No sound can be heard or
the sound is faint.
The audio distorts
The audio/subtitle language
cannot be changed
Subtitles do not appear

• Is the main power switch in the on position?
• Disconnect and reconnect the power cable.
• Is the projector cooling down?
• If the indicator goes on and off when you touch the power cable, turn
off the main power switch then disconnect and reconnect the power
cable. If the unit fails to improve, it is possible that the power cable
has been damaged. Stop using the projector, disconnect the power
cable from the electrical outlet, and contact your dealer.
• Is the Child Lock set?
• Is the Image Off indicator lit orange?
• You cannot play DVD videos if the disc region code does not
correspond to the region code label on the side of this unit.
• Press
to switch to DVD.
• Is the lamp spent?
• Has the focus been adjusted?
• Is the lens cover in place?
• Is the projector at the correct distance?
• Could there be condensation?
• Is the color mode appropriate to the usage environment?
• Is the lamp due for replacement?
• Is the screensaver running?
• Is the Function/Numerics toggle switch in the [1 2 3] (numerical
input) position?
• Depending on the disc, certain operations are prohibited.
• Are the batteries dead, or have the batteries been inserted correctly?
• Has the volume been adjusted to the minimum setting?
• Is mute mode active? Press
• Is the DVD level setting set to "DVD LEVEL 1"?
Is the volume too loud?
• If multiple languages are not recorded on the disc, they cannot be
changed.
• Depending on the disk, there are some types that can only be changed
from the DVD menu.
• If there are no subtitles on the disc, they are not displayed.
• Is the subtitle language set to "OFF"?
• When using A-B repeat, subtitles may not be displayed before and
after point A and point B.
