General
The Dynamic Stability and Traction Control
system (STC/DSTC) improves the car's trac-
tion and helps the driver to avoid skidding.
A pulsing sound may be noticed during brak-
ing or acceleration when the system is in
action. The car may accelerate more slowly
than expected.
The car is equipped with either STC or DSTC
depending on market. The table shows the
integral functions of the respective systems.

Reduced operation
The stability system is activated automati-
cally each time the car is started.
System operation during skidding and accel-
eration can be partially deactivated.
Operation during skidding is delayed and so
allows more skidding which provides greater
freedom for dynamic driving.
Traction in deep snow or sand is improved as
acceleration is no longer limited.
Operation
– Turn thumbwheel (A) until the STC/ DSTC
menu is shown.
