Basic Camera Setup

Setup Menu

The setup menu contains the following settings.
Welcome screen
Specify the welcome screen displayed when the camera is turned on.
Time zone and date
Set camera clock and choose home and destination time zones.
Monitor settings
Adjust photo information display and monitor brightness settings.
Print date
Imprint the shooting date and time on images.
Electronic VR
Specify the electronic vibration reduction setting for taking still images.
Motion detection
Set whether or not the camera automatically increases the shutter speed to reduce
blurring when motion is detected while taking still images.
AF assist
Enable or disable AF-assist illumination.
Sound settings
Adjust sound settings.
Auto off
Set the amount of time that passes before the monitor turns off to save power.
Format memory/Format card
Format internal memory or memory card.
Language
Choose the language used for camera monitor display.
Video mode
Adjust settings for connection to a television.
Blink warning
Set whether or not to detect human subjects with eyes closed when taking pictures
using face detection.
Reset all
Restore camera settings to their default values.
Battery type
Select the type of batteries used.
Firmware version
Display camera firmware version.
