The drying basket may only be used
in a Miele tumble dryer which has been
specified as suitable for its use.
~
To avoid the risk of damage please
make sure you also read the operating
instructions supplied with your Miele
tumble dryer before using the drying
basket.

To prevent the risk of damage:
– Do not place other textiles or objects
in the dryer at the same time as
using the drying basket. Make sure
the drum is empty before positioning
the drying basket.
– The drying basket must not be
positioned at an angle.
– To avoid the risk of overheating only
use the drying basket in those
programmes listed on the next page.
– Sleeves, ties and belts, knee length
boots etc. must not come into
contact with the drum or with the
drum ribs in the dryer. When the
drum is rotating (in programmes
other than the Basket programmes),
these can get tangled up and cause
damage to the drying basket and the
dryer.
The maximum height of any object
placed in the basket for drying is
250 mm.

Using the drying basket

The drying basket is suspended inside
the drum and does not rotate with it. It
is suitable for items that cannot tolerate
mechanical action.

A Open the drum door.
B Position the drying basket horizon-
tally and centrally inside the drum.
C Hook the drying basket so that it sits
centrally in the door opening (see
arrow in illustration a).
The drying basket is also supported
inside the dryer.
The drying basket must sit horizon-
tally in the drum (illustration b).
D Load the drying basket correctly.
Maximum load: 4 kg!
(Illustrations b-d).
E Close the drum door.
F Only use one of the programmes
listed on the next page.
Other programmes cannot be used
because the load monitoring system in
the tumble dryer will cause the
programme to abort after a short while.
G Always remove the drying basket
from the drum after use.
^ If necessary it can be cleaned using
soapy water. Dry using a clean soft
cloth.
