Accessing a channel

When the original (factory) settings are left unchanged, or after resetting the unit, the 56
keys allow you to select channels in the list of pre-programmed TV channels. You can also
enter a channel number to access it directly. Press OK to display the TV channels list.

Adding channels

Before adding channels, you must first declare the satellites that you can receive. Once this
is done, you can either add a particular channel of which you know the technical parameters
(manual search), or you can add all the new channels (automatic search).
A - Declaration of the satellites
The declaration of the satellites is something you must do once and for all. It consists in
declaring how many LNB's you have (2 for a monoblock). So, you will affect a number to each
received satellite (eg 1 for Hotbird and 2 for Astra).
1. Go in MENU / Installation / Program Satellite.
2. On the Number of Antenna line, select the number with 34 arrows (for example 2 for a
monoblock).
3. On the Current Antenna line, select 1 with 34 arrows.
4. On the Satellite line, select with 34 arrows the satellite for which you affect the number
1 (for example Hotbird).
If you receive more than one satellite, go back to step 1 and redo the same steps for the other
satellites (for example, 2 = Astra1, ...)
Press EXIT to quit the menus
B - Manual shearch
A channel is transmitted by something called a transponder (TP). It is a satellite relay of which
you must know the 4 technical parameters:
• The frequency (eg 12551 MHz)
• The Symbol Rate (eg 22000)
• The polarity (eg Vertical)
• The satellite that carries this TP (eg Hotbird)
You will find these parameters in specialized magazines, or in dedicated websites
(www.satcodx.com or www.lyngsat.com for example).
