ADVANCED KEYLESS
ENTRY SYSTEM
• This system allows you to lock and
unlock the doors, open the trunk lid,
Panic
open the windows, and even start
Alarm
the engine.
Trunk
While Carrying the Advanced Key...
• U nlock the driver's door by
pushing the driver's door request
switch once.
• U nlock all doors by pushing the
driver's door request switch twice
OR by pushing the passenger's door
request switch.
• O pen the trunk by pushing the
trunk request switch.
• L ock all doors by pushing the
driver's door or passenger door
request switch once.
• O pen the front windows by
pushing the unlock button on the
advanced keyless entry transmitter
and then pushing again and holding;
release to stop.
• C lose front windows and
moon roof by pushing and holding
the driver's door request switch;
release to stop.
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
This system remotely locks and unlocks the doors, the trunk, and opens the
power windows.
Release Button
• T o extend the key, push
the release button.
• T o retract the key, push
the release button
and fold the key back
into the holder.
Unlocking the Doors
• P ush x 1: Unlock
the driver's door.
• P ush x 2 (within 5
seconds): Unlocks all of
the doors and liftgate.
Opening the Trunk
• P ush and hold .

STARTiNg ThE ENgiNE

While Carrying the Advanced Key...
• S tart the engine by pushing the start knob in and turning it (like a
normal key) while pushing the clutch pedal (manual transmission) or
the brake pedal (automatic transmission).
• S hut the engine OFF by turning the start knob to the ACC position
and then pushing in and turning to the Lock position.
• T he key indicator light will show gREEN when the advanced key
is detected. If the key indicator light flashes gREEN, the advanced key
transmitter battery power is low.
• If the advanced key cannot be used due to a malfunction or dead
advanced key battery, use the auxiliary key to lock/unlock the doors
and to start the engine.
With the Auxiliary Key...
1 To start engine, remove the Start
knob cover by pushing both release
buttons and pulling the cover off.
2 Insert the auxiliary key into the key
cylinder and turn it to start the engine.
Locking the Doors
• P ush x 1: Locks all of
the doors.
• P ush x 2 (within 5
seconds): Horn sounds
to verify doors are locked.
Panic Alarm
• P ush for 1 second
or more to activate the
vehicle's alarm. The horn
will sound intermittently
and the warning lights will
flash for 2-1/2 minutes or
until any button is pushed
on the transmitter.
Opening the Windows
• P ush , then push again
and hold; release to stop.
