Important! Use only a Power Wheels
A-style connector and built-in thermal fuse. Use of any
other battery can damage your vehicle. Make sure that
you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the
enclosed Power Wheels
®
operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery
for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never
charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Failure to follow
these instructions may damage your battery and will void
your warranty.
It is easier to install the battery before assembling the
hood to your vehicle. If you have already assembled the
hood to your vehicle, you may want to remove it to install
the battery.

• The battery compartment is located under the hood of
your vehicle.
• Place the battery upright in the battery compartment.
Make sure the bottom of the battery is flat on the bottom
of the battery compartment and that the battery connec-
tor extends toward the rear of the vehicle.

• Plug the battery and motor harness connectors
together. Push firmly to make sure the two connectors
are completely joined.

Clamp
• Position the battery clamp over the battery with the ends
of the battery clamp aligned with the screw holes in the
battery compartment.
• Insert two #8 x 1" screws through the battery clamp and
into the battery compartment.
• Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Do not over-tighten.
• Place the connectors toward the rear of the battery
compartment, on top of the battery as shown.

• Re-assemble the hood to the vehicle if you have
removed it to install your battery.
• Lower the hood.
• Face the front of the vehicle.
• Using a slotted screwdriver, rotate the lock-fasteners in
the hood so that they are horizontal
• Press down on the hood so that the lock fastener tabs on
the underside of the hood fit into the lock fastener slots
under the hood in the battery compartment.
• Rotate the lock fasteners clockwise 90˚ (
slotted screwdriver to lock the hood and prevent children
from accessing the batteries
• Lift up on the hood to make sure it is securely fastened.
