TROUBLESHOOTING

Refer to the symptoms and solutions listed below before sending the camera for
repairs. If the problem persists, contact your local reseller or service center.
Power Supply
Symptom
The power does not come
on.
The battery runs out quickly.
The battery or camera feels
warm.
Shooting
Symptom
Even if I press the shutter
button, the camera does
not shoot.
Images do not appear on
the LCD monitor.
Although it is set to auto
focus, it does not focus.

Cause
The battery in not inserted.
The battery is exhausted.
The battery is not fully charged.
The battery is not used for
an extended period of time
after charged.
Long period of continuous
use of the camera or the
flash.
Cause
The power is not on.
The shutter button is not
pressed all the way down.
The memory card does not
have any free capacity.
The flash is charging.

unrecognized by the camera.
The memory card is write-
protected.
The power is not on.
LCD monitor is dark.
The lens is dirty.
The distance to the subject
is smaller than the effective
range.
Solution
Insert the battery correctly.
Recharge the battery.
Fully charge the battery and
discharge it for at least one
complete cycle before use to
maximize its performance and
lifetime.
Solution
Turn the power on.
Press the shutter button all
the way down.
Insert a new memory card,
or delete unwanted files.
Wait until the status LED off.
Format the memory card in
this camera before its first use
or when it was used other than
this camera.
Remove the write-protection.
Turn the power on.
Adjust the brightness of the
LCD monitor in the menu.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry
cloth or lens paper.
Get your subject within the
effective focus range.
