Connecting

This section explains how to connect your KIVOR INDEX to other components in your
multi-room or hi-fi system and to a PC.

Power in Connect to the mains supply using the mains lead provided.

Com 1 & 2 For connection to a Linn KIVOR LINNK*, PC or third-party control
device (see Getting Started guide).

Analogue out Eight pairs of line outputs for connection to a Linn KNEKT
INTERSEKT or other pre-amplifier.

VGA monitor output For Linn installer or Linn dealer use.

Ethernet For connection to an Ethernet network (use 10/100 BASE-T cable).

Modem For connection to a telephone line (use supplied RJ-11 cable).

*If you wish to use your KIVOR INDEX in a Linn KNEKT system, the unit must be
connected to a Linn KIVOR LINNK.

The KIVOR INDEX should be disconnected from the mains supply before
connecting or disconnecting any of the plugs on the back panel. If this is not
done you may generate surges which could damage the KIVOR INDEX or
other components in your multi-room or hi/fi system.
Before disconnecting the KIVOR INDEX from the mains supply, it m m u u s s t t be put into
standby.

Right-click on the title bar.
Select C C l l o o s s e e a a n n d d K K i i v v o o r r : : S S t t a a n n d d b b y y .
Wait for two minutes.
The unit can now be disconnected from the mains supply.
