How to operate Deluxe Double Treat

Please read the following carefully:

1. Snap miximg combs into bottom of lid.
2. Place 4 "AA" batteries into battery compartment.
NOTE: Use new batteries
3. Make one recipe for any ice cream or frozen treat (see recipe book includ-
ed for ideas). If you would like to do a recipe which requires heating, such
as recipes with eggs or scalding of milk, ALWAYS make sure the mixture
cools before placing in the unit and into the freezer.
NOTE: Each recipe makes one bowl.
4. Deluxe Double Treat comes with a PREP feature that ensures even distri-
bution of temperature and ingredients. Ice Cream mixtures that have been
heated should be pre-mixed to ensure that the temperature is cool enough
to be placed into the freezer. (This may require 2 or more cycles of pre-
mixing, depending on how hot the initial mixture is).
NOTE: If you are going to use large food items, such as banana's or straw-
berries, we suggest using a blender to chop up before mixing ingredients.
5. Put all ingredients into each bowl evenly. To pre-mix, press the PREP button
located at the top of the unit. Normal non-heated ice cream requires only
one cycle of pre-mixing.The suggested PREP time is 1 minute. This insures
that all ingredients are mixed well. NEVER open or shake the unit while it
is in use. During this phase, the PREP LED light indicator will light up.The
LED light indicator is Red during the PREP and Auto mixing steps.
6. Once all Pre-mixing is completed press the PRO button (the LED Light will
be Orange) and put the entire unit into the freezer where the Thermal sen-
sor will automatically become active. During this time the Deluxe Double
Treat motor will works in cycles. (This means the motor will start and stop
every 10 seconds). Once the mixture in the unit has cooled to a tempera-
ture of 5˚ degrees Celsius (-6˚ degrees Celsius), the Deluxe Double Treat
will start the cycles automatically. Please note: Different recipes and differ-
ent freezer temperatures may account for texture differences in your ice
cream or other frozen dessert.
7. Between one hour 50 minutes and three hours (depending on ingredients
and freezer temp) the "orange" LED light indicator will turn "Green", indi-
cating the ice cream has completed the cycles!
NOTE: If the ice cream is too soft, continue to leave in freezer for extra time.
