From the Sample folder of the CD-ROM, copy the file TTears(.mp3) to your desktop.

Set the UA-25EX's Sample rate select switch (p. 13) to the 44.1 kHz position.
* After changing the sample rate, you must close all software that is using the UA-25EX,
disconnect the UA-25EX's USB cable from your computer, and then reconnect it.

Play back the sample data "TTears"(.mp3).
Double-click the TTears(.mp3) file you copied to your desktop.
If you're using Windows, Windows Media Player will start. If you're using Macintosh, iTunes will
start. Click the play button, and the sample data will start playing.
* Depending on your system, other playback software may start up. If so, play the sample data as
described in the documentation for the software you're using.

Adjust the volume.
If you're using headphones, use the UA-25EX's output volume knob to adjust the volume.
If you've connected your audio playback system to the OUTPUT jacks, use the controls of your audio
playback system to adjust the volume.
You should hear the sample data played from the headphones or speakers connected to the
UA-25EX.
* If the Digital input switch is on (digital input mode), you won't be able to hear the sound being
played by your computer. Turn the Digital input switch off.
Did you hear the sample data?
If you could hear the sample data, the UA-25EX is correctly connected to your computer
and the driver has been installed correctly.
If you could not hear the sample data, refer to "Troubleshooting" (p. 46). If there's no
sound, or if there's something wrong with the playback, information provided in that
section will help you solve the problem.
All connections and driver settings for the UA-25EX are now complete.
Read the following sections as necessary.
