Limit pruning to limbs

• Make your first cut t/3 of the way through tbe
bottom of the Iimb.
• Next make a 2nd cut all the way through
the limb, Then cut a third overcut

adjustments

• Once a year, replace the spark plug, air filter,
and check guide bar and chain for wear A
new spark #ug and air filter assures proper
air-fuel mixture and betps your engine run
better and last Ionger.

BAR
Conditions
which
require guide
bar mainte-
nance:
• Saw cuts to one side or at an angle
• Saw has to be forced through the cut.
• Inadequate
supply of oil to bar/chain.
Check the condition
of guide bar each time
chain
is sharpened
A worn guide
bar wiII
damage
the chain and make cutting difficuIt.
After each use, ensure ON/STOP
switch is
in the STOP position, then clean alI sawdust
from the guide
bar and sprocket
hole.
To maintain
guide bar:
• Move ON/STOP
switch to STOP.
• Loosen
and remove
bar nuts and clutch
cover.
Remove
bar and chain from saw.
