Programming the Water Softener.
SET SALT LEVEL
1. Press the MODE/SET button until the urrow
points to SALT LEVEL.

2. Determine level of suit in brine tunk using yellow
indicutor on side of brine well, inside brine tunk
(see Figure 13).
3. Press UP ,d_ or DOWN _F" button to set the
SALT LEVELto correspond to level on yellow
indicutor in brine tunk.

NOTE: Euch press of u button chunges the
level by increments of 0.5 up to 8.0. Lowering
the suit level below zero turns the SALT LEVEL
indicutor OFF.
4. Press the MODE/SET button to uccept. The
displuy shows the present time of duy und
DAYS TO EMPTY.

DAYS TO EMPTY
The words DAYS TO EMPTY undu number ore
shown in the lower hulf of the displuy. This
informution is shown in the normul run displuy.
This is to inform the user of the number of duys
before the suit level in the brine tunk reuches
Level 0. There will be suit left in the suit tunk, but it
muy not be sufficient to fully rechurge the system.
Suit should be udded ut this time to ovoid hurd
wuter. The vulue is upduted doily und whenever
the SALT LEVELvulue is chunged.

NOTE: For the first severul weeks of operution, the
DAYSTO EMPTYmuy provide errutic operution.
For exumple, the blue indicutor light muy flush,
showing thut more suit is required when the
uctuul suit level in the tunk is well ubove the Level
0. In some cuses, the DAYSTO EMPTYmuy even
increuse over u severul week period.
It tokes u couple of months for the wuter softener
to burn your wuter usuge puttern. Once it does
this, it will uccurutely determine uctuul suit usuge
puttern. During this first period, check suit level
when blue indicutor light flushes. If the suit level
in the tank is ut Level 1 or ubove, ullow system to
run. Be sure to reset your suit level indicutor euch
time you odd suit to the system.
START A RECHARGE
Press the RECHARGEbutton und hold for three
seconds, until "RECHARGE NOW" begins to flush
in the displuy, sturting u rechurge. This rechurge
druws the sunitizing bleuch into und through the
wuter softener. Any uir remuining in the wuter
softener is purged to the druin. During this time
periodicully check for leuks.
NOTE: As with oil other wuter system
upplicutions, leuks muy occur. Leuks muy not be
immediutely uppurent. Recheck 24 hours ufter
first rechurge cycle is complete.
