Hardware Setup
NOTE
The controller supports USB flash devices formatted with FAT or VFAT (FAT32) filesystems only. If
your flash storage device is formatted with another filesystem you will need to format the device
before it can be used in the system.

Installing a Compact Flash Card

The Summit WM3700 wireless LAN controller contains a Compact Flash slot for file
transfers, firmware updates and use by Extreme Networks service technicians. Follow
the setup instructions below to connect a Compact Flash Card to the controller and then
access that card through the Web UI.
1 To use a Compact Flash card with the Summit WM3700 wireless LAN controller
insert the card into the Compact Flash slot.
2 Once the Compact Flash card has been inserted, follow the instructions in the
Summit WM3000 Series Controller System Reference Guide or Summit WM3000 Series
Controller CLI Reference Guide to use the Compact Flash card for file transfers or
firmware updates.
