1, Removeanypackingmaterialwhich may be between
upperand lowerhandles,
a, Pull up and backon upperhandleas shownin
Step 1,Makecertain the lowerhandle isseated
securelyintothe handlemountingbrackets,
b, Tighten star knobssecuringupperhandleto
lowerhandle,Makesure thateach carriagebolt is
seatedproperlyin the handle,
2, Locatehairpinclip in one hole on the weldpin on each
sideof lowerhandle,
a, Removehairpinclipfrom this hole,Usinga pair of
pliers, inserthairpinclip intothe otherhole on the
weldpin, Repeaton otherside,
b, Inserta carriagebolt from the hardwarepack into
the upperhole on thehandle mountingbracket,
Securewith one plasticwing nut,also included
in the hardwarepack,Repeaton otherside with
remainingitemsfrom hardwarepack,
3, The ropeguide is attachedto the right sideof the
upperhandle,Loosenthe wingnut whichsecuresthe
rope guide,
a, Holdthe bladecontrol againstupperhandle,
b, Pull starterrope outof the engine,Releasethe
bladecontrol,
c, Slip starterrope intorope guide,
d, Tighten wingnut,
4, Insertpost on cableties into holesprovidedon the
lowerhandle,Pull cabletie tight and trim excess,
5, An adiustingplateand thumbleverat eachwheel
positionprovidescuttingheightadiustment,
a, Depresslevertowardswheel,
b, Moveit toany of the nine positionsfor desired
cuttingheight,See Step5,
c, Releaselevertowardsmowerdeck,
