About
care and storage
of the
lens
• Wipe the surihce of the lens clean with a soft
cloth in the fbllowing instances:
- When there are fingerprints
on the lens
surfilce
- In hot or hmnid locations
- When the lens is exposed to salty air such as
sitthe seaside
• Store in a well ventilated location subject to
little dirt or dust.
• To prevent mold, periodically
clean the lens as
described above.
On charging
the
pre-installed
rechargeable
battery
_f_ttr camcorder
has a pre installed rechargeable
battery to retain the date, time, and other settings
even when the camcorder
is turned offi The pre
installed rechargeable battery is ahvays charged
while ?Tour camcorder is connected to the wall
outlet (wall socket) via the AC Adaptor or while
the battery pack is attached. The rechargeable
battery will be fldly discharged in about 3 months
if you do not use ?Tour camcorder at all. Use
?Tour camcorder after charging the preqnstalled
rechargeable
batter?c However, even if the pre
installed rechargeable battery is not charged, the
camcorder
operation will not be affbcted as long
as you are not recording the date.
Procedures
Connect your camcorder
to a wall outlet (wall
socket) using the supplied AC Adaptor, and leave
it with the LCD screen closed for more than 24
hours.
Note on disposal/transfer
of the
camcorder
(DCR-SX65/SX85)
Even if you delete sill movies and still images, or
perfbrm
[MEDIA FORMAT], data on the internal
recording media may not be completely erased.
When you transfi.,r the camcorder, it is
us recommended
that ?Tot* perfbrm [EMPTY]

the recovery of your data. Also, when you dispose
of the camcorder, it is reconnnended
that you
destroy the actual bo@ of the camcorder.
Note on disposal/transfer
of memory
card
Even if you delete data in the memory card or
*brmat the memory card on ?Tour camcorder or
a computer, you may not delete data fl'om the
memory card completel?c When you give the
memory card to somebody, it is reconnnended
that you delete data completely using data
deletion software on a computer. Also, when you
dispose of the memory card, it is reconnnended
that you destroy the actual body of the memory
card.
