Auger Belt Replacement
To removeand replaceyoursnow thrower'sauger belt,
proceedas follows:
1. Removethe plasticbelt coveron the front of the
engineby removingthe two self-tappingscrews.
NOTE: Drainthe gasolinefrom the snowthrower,or
placea pieceof plasticunderthe gas cap.
2. Carefullypivotthe snowthrowerup and forwardso
that it restson the augerhousing.Removethe frame
coverfrom the undersideof the snow throwerby
removingfour self-tappingscrewswhich secureit.
3. Rollthe auger beltoff the enginepulley.
4. a. Loosenand removethe shoulderscrewwhich
actsas a belt keeper.
b. Unhookthesupport bracketspringfromthe
frame.
5. Removethe beltfrom aroundtheauger pulley,and
slipthe beltbetweenthe supportbracketand the
augerpulley.Reassemble augerbelt by following
instructionsin reverseorder.
NOTE: Do NOTforget to reinstallthe shoulderscrew
and reconnectthe springto the frame after installing
a replacement a uger beltand to removethe pieceof
plasticfrom underthe gascap.

Maintaining

NOTE: Although
multi-viscosityoils
(5W30, 10W30 etc.)
improve starting in cold
weather, thesemulti-
viscosity oils also result
in higher oil consump-
tion when used above
32°F (0°C). Check your
snow thrower's engine
oil level more frequently
to avoid possible
engine damagefrom
running low on oil.
NOTE: Do not sand-
blast spark plug. Spark
plug should be cleaned
by scraping or w=re
brushing and washing
with a commercial
solvent.
IMPORTANT
NEVER replace the
_ugershear pins with
standard pins. Any
damage to theauger
gearbox or other com-
3onents,as a result of
doing so, will NOT be
covered by your snow
thrower's warranty.
