Detailed Operation
System

AutoLoad Electronic Charts

This is only available when installed with a GPS
navigator that supports the MapMX communication
protocol (e.g., GNS 480 series). This feature must be
disabled when the GMX 200 is connected to a GPS
navigator that does not support the MapMX communi-
cation protocol. It allows the GPS navigator to instruct
the GMX 200 to load a selected approach chart.
Press the Next Page key to display the next page
of menu items.

Altitude Units

Press the Altitude Units key to set the display of
altitude in either feet or meters. Altitude units cannot
be set to meters if a traffic source is installed.
System Nav Setup Menu Items (Page 3)

Map Detail

Press the Map Detail key to toggle the choices for
decluttering the map displays. In areas where there is a
great number of information available, these selections
will help you control the amount of displayed infor-
mation at various zoom levels.

System Info Pages

Press the Info function key, if necessary, to dis-
play the System Info pages. These pages show System
Information, Port Status, Data Link Status, Additional
Features, and Hardware status for your GMX 200
system. This information will be useful should you
need to contact customer service. Press the key to the
right of the menu label to reach the desired Info page.

System Information

The System Information window shows the System
ID and the Software and Hardware versions, as well as
the installed Databases and their expiration dates or
version.
