Check connections
-- make sure all cables are firmly inserted into the correct jacks.

Can't select certain channel
•
Channel may be blocked or not approved in the V-CHIPBLOCK menu.
Clock is wrong
•
Power interruption.
Need to reset the clock. Go to page 30 for more information.
•
Clock was not set accurately
(check AM/PM). Go to page 30 for more information.
Black box appears on the screen
•
Closed-captioning text mode might be selected. Check the CLOSED CAPTIONmenu. Go to page 34 for more instructions.

Station might not be broadcasting

The Remote
Control
Doesn't
Work
•
Something might be between
the remote and the remote sensor on the component.
Make sure there is a clear path.
•
Maybe the remote isn't aimed directly at the component
(TV, VCR, etc.) that you're trying to operate.
•
Maybe the remote isn't in TV mode -- press the TV button.
•
Maybe batteries in remote are weak, dead or installed incon'ectly.
Put new batteries in the remote.
•
You might need to drain the remote's microprocessor:
remove batteries
and press the number
1 button for at least 60 seconds.
Release the 1 button, replace the batteries,
and (if necessary)
program the remote again.

V-Chip/Parental
Controls
The rating
limits don't
work
•
You must turn V-Chip on. Go to the main MENU (press MENU on your remote),
select V-CHIP BLOCK, and set STATUS to ON. Go to
page 23 for instructions.
I don't remember my password and I want to unlock the TV
•
If you forget your password, simultaneously press and hold the channel up and the channel down buttons on the front of the TV
until INPUT SECRETNo. disappears from the screen.
