Set the MPAA Rating Limits
The MPAA menu lets you decide which movies can and can't be viewed according to the age-based rating of the MPAA.
The TV locks and unlocks the parental control settings using a password you select.
If you only want your child to watch movies that have a PG rating and lower (in other words, movies rated PG and G),
then you could automatically block out all other movies with higher ratings.

Press MENU on the remote (the main MENU appears).
Press the up or down arrow until PARENT CONTROL is highlighted and
press OK (the PARENT CONTROL menu appears with V-CHIP BLOCK
highlighted).
Press OK (the V-CHIP BLOCK menu appears with MPAA highlighted). Press
OK (the MPAA menu appears).
Note: Be sure to remember your number, If you have entered a number
previously, enter that same number.
If you forget your secret number, press and hold the channel up and
channel down buttons on the front of the TV simultaneously until the
message INPUT SECRETNo. disappears.

Use the up and down arrows to select the MPAA rating that you want to
block.
Press the right or left arrow button to change the setting (the setting goes
back and forth between BLOCK or not blocked -- not blocked is shown on
the screen as dashes ..... ).
Note: All higher ratings and contents will be automatically blocked.
6. Press MENU to exit.
Rating Description for MPAA Age-Based Ratings
X An Older Rating. Encoded on older movies. Same as NC-17.
R i Restricted. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
PG-13
Parent Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
PG • Parental Guidance Suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children.
G • General Audience. All ages admitted.
