When you change the status of a rating to
Block, the system will automatically block
higher ratings and all corresponding
content themes.

Blocking Age-Based Ratings
You can automatically block all program ratings above a specified age-based
rating level. For example, if you only want your child lo watch programs that
have a TV-G rating and lower (in other words, you ,,*,'ant tile child to watch
TV-G, TV-Y7, and TV-Y), then you need to block out other programming with
higher ratings.
"lb block programs with higher ratings:
1. First, determine tile lowest level rating you don't want tile child to watch
(see chart of age-based ratings on next page).
2. Press tile let_ and right arrow buuons to highlight tile Ratit_,g field.
3. Press tile up and down arrow buttons on tile remote to scroll
through
tile
age-based rating limits. Keep scrolling until tile rating corresponding with
tile lowest rating you do not want tile child to walch appears on tile screen.
In tile example discussed above, you would scroll through tile RatDzg field
until TV-PG appears, since tile highest rating you want tile child to watch is
TV-G.
4. Press tile right arrow button to move tile yellow highlight to tile
Statns field.
5. Press tile up or down arrow button to toggle between Viewand Block. Tile
status tbr tile rating listed lo tile left and all higher ratings automatically
changes to Block (and B).
6. Press OK on tile remote lo return to tile menu or exit tile screen when you
are finished.
7. Select Lock Paret_tal Cot_trots from tile Paretltal Cot_trol._menu. Enl_.r a
password, and if you have not already set your password, you will be
prompted to enter it again lo confirm.
To reset the ratings to View and V,press the RESET
button on the remote.
