Sound preset
Allows you to choose a specific sound [)reset.
Press the right arrow to cycle through tile options: Slat_chwd,
Movie, I'oice, Mz_si_, Fiat, 17de,game,
17d_,ocame,w and P_,,>onal.
I_>equency
range
Displays tile different graphic equalizer
bands set for each Sound [)reset option. Choose a band and make
adjustments.
When you make adjustments,
the So_,_dp,_,sg,/option
automatically
changes to ]'g'l%oHglL Press the left or right arrow
button to select the _i'equency (120Hz, 200Hz, 500Hz, 1.2kHz,
3kHz, 7.5kHz, 12kHz) you want to adjust. Then use the up or
down arrow button to adjust the level. When you're done adjusting
the levels, press the MENU button to exit.
To view the frequency
range of another Soz_Jldpr¢.s-g,/option, press
the right or le_} arrow until no band is selected and Fr(,dzu,Jlc3,
,w,_2e is highlighted.
Then press the up arrow to highlight Sozmd
/}r_'.s_'l.
Bass
Incre:lses or decreases
the bass of the sound.
Treble
Increases
or (lecrcases
the treble
of the sound.
Sound
type
Controls the way the sound comes through your
speakers.
The options available vary according
to the input selected.
Mono (available
for regular TV viewing only)
Plays the sound in
inono only. Use this setting when receiving broadcasts
with weak
stere() signals.
Stereo
Splits the incoming stere() audio signal into le_} and right
channels. Most TV programs
and recorded
materials have stere()
audio. The word S/et'_,o appears
in the channel banner when you
tune to a l)rogram that is broadcast
in stere().
Sound
mode
Provides special processing
through your speakers
(depending
on the setting you chose as your .Sbzmd Oyez,).The
available audio modes are:
Normal
Does not give any special processing,
simply provides
the inono or stere() sound provided
by the signal you're watching.
Wide (awdlable
only for mono signals)
"Widens" sound from
mono broadcasts
and n_ono devices connected
to your TV for a
fuller, more spacious sound.
Stereo
Wide
Available only for stere() signals. Gives a surround
eff_,ct with more bass.
SRS(@)
Creates a three-diinensiona]
sound while extending
the
_lge
beyond
the size of the speakers.
Balance
Adjusts ho\v n_uch audio is sent to the let} and fight
speakers.
SRS(@)
Allows you to hear deeper,
richer ]ow bass tones that
normally you wouldn't
hear _ioin the speakers.
Auto Volume Level
Reduces the annoying
b]asts in volulne during
commercial
breaks, and also amplifies softer sounds in program
inak, ria]. Eliminates the need to constant]y
adjust the volume.
