Find Out if You Need to Program
the Remote

ON. For example,
to program
the
remote
for a VCR, turn on the VCR. Point
the remote
at the VCR, and
press
the VCR button.
Then
press

to see if the VCR responds
to the remote
commands.

If you want
to stop the automatic
code
search
without

any of yOklF devices,
press
CLEAR unti] the indicator
on the remote
turns
off.

Turn on the device you want to operate
(VCR or I)VD player)

Press and ho](I the device button
you want to program
(VCR or D\. I)). Whi]e holding
the
device button,
press and ho]d ON,,C)FF unti] the indicator
on the remote
turns on, then

Point the 17(_tlnote a t t]lc (levJce. Press and re]ease PI_&_ (the indicator ]ight on the remote
flashes).
The remote is searching
for the correct code to program. When the indicator stops flashing
(after about 5 seconds), press PLAY again to td] the remote to search the next set of codes.
Continue
pressing PLAY until the device turns off or the indicator light on the remote
turns off. If the indicator light turns off, then all the codes for that particular
device have
been tested once. If the device does not turn off, then the remote can't be programmed
to
operate
that device.
