Turning On and Off the Camera
Press tile power switc:h to turn on tile camera. Tile
power-on lamp (green) will light, and then tile monitor
will turn on
(the power-on lamp
turns offwhen the
monitor turns
on).
To turn of[the camera, press the
power switch
again.
When the camera is turned
of[,
the
power-on
lamp
and the monitor will turn of[.
if the camera is turned off, hold down the [] button to turn the camera on in
playback mode (_ 30).

[] Power Saving Function (Auto Off)
If no operations are per_rmed _r a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter standby
mode, and the power on lamp will blink. If no operations are per_rmed _r another three minutes,
the camera will turn off automatically,
When the power on lamp is blinking, the following operations will turn the monitor back on,
Pressing the power switch, shutter release button, [] button, or • (_ movie record) button
Rotating the mode dial
• in shooting or playback mode, the camera will enter standby mode in about one minute (default
setting).
• The time allowed to elapse before the camera enters standby mode can be changed from the
Auto off option (_ 184) in the setup menu (_ 169),
