Using exposure compensation to adjust brightness
In Auto, useexposurecompensation beforeyoutake a pictureto make it darkeror
lighter.Press _ to decrease exposure compensation,and _ toincreaseexposure
compensation.
Theexposure compensation l evelappears on theLCD _ _+_
and theLCD imagegets
darkeror lighter.
Using the self-timer

Placecameraon a tripod or flat surface.
) Inany Still mode,press
• Oncefor a 10-second delay(soyou havetime to get into the scene)
• Again for a 2-seconddelay(for a steady,auto-shutterreleaseon a tripod)
• Again for 2-shot(one picturetaken after 10secondsand another picture
taken 8 secondslater)

Composethe scene.

Press the Shutterbutton halfway,
then completelydown.
Tocancelthe Self-timerbeforethe picture is taken, pressthe Self-timerbutton. (The
Self-timersettingremainsactive.)
Use the same procedure to take a video, but:
m Turnthe Modedial to Video +_.
m Press the Shutterbutton completelydown.
NOTE: The video stops w hen nostorage space r emains. Only the2-and10-second
options a re available in
video mode.
