Batteries

The capacity of rechargeable Ni-MH batteries may
be temporarily
reduced when new, after long pe-
riods of disuse, or if they are repeatedly recharged
before being fully discharged.
Capacity can be
increased by repeatedly discharging the batteries
using the []
DISCHARGE option and recharging
them in a battery
charger (sold separately).
Do
not use []
DISCHARGE with non-rechargeable
batteries, and note that the batteries will not dis-
charge if the camera is powered by an optional
AC power adapter and DC coupler.
1 Selecting [] DISCHARGE displaysa confirma-
tion dialog. Press MENU/OK.

Select OK
Press MENU/0K to begin discharging the batter-
ies. When the batteries are fully discharged,
the battery level indicator will blink red and
the camera will turn off. To cancel the process
before the batteries are fully discharged, press
DISP/BACK.

Stamp the time and/or date of recording on pho-
tographs as they are taken.

• Time and date stamps carl not be deleted. Turn

DATE STAMP off to prevent time and date
stamps appearing on new photographs.
• Ifthe camera clock is not set, you will be prompted to
set the clock to the current date and time (_
16).
• We recommend that you turn the DPOF"print date"
option offwhen printing images with a time and date
stamp (_ 75).
• Time and date stamps do not appear on movies, pan-
oramas, or 3D photos.
