from spark plug before assembly, orworking

clearances carefully before operation.

good v isibility and light.
Data i ndicates that o perators, age 60and
above, areinvolved inalarger percentage of
riding mower related injuries. These
operators should evaluate their ability to
operate the riding m ower safely enough to
protect themselves and others from serious
injury.
Only t rained adults may o perate unit. Training
includes being familiar with controls and
actual operation.
NEVER operate unit a fter or during the use of
medication, drugs oralcohol.
NEVER allow anyone tooperate this unit
when t heir alertness orcoordination is
impaired.
Wear adequate safety gear, sturdy shoes,
and protective gloves.
DO NOT w ear loose c lothing orjewelry and
tieback h air t hat m ay g et c aught inrotating
parts.
Protect eyes, face a nd head f rom objects that
may b ethrown from unit. Wear appropriate
hearing protection. Always wear safety
goggles orsafety glasses with side shields
when o perating mower.
Avoid sharp e dges. Sharp edges can cut.
Moving parts can cut o ff f ingers orahand.
ALWAYS keep h ands and feet a way f rom all
rotating parts during operation. Rotating parts
can cut o ff b ody p arts.
ALWAYS keep h ands away from all p inch
points.
Start and operate unit o nly w hen s eated in
operator's position. Steering control levers
must beinneutral, PTO disengaged and
parking brake set w hen s tarting engine.
ALWAYS keep b ody a nd hands away f rom
pin holes ornozzles which e ject hydraulic
fluid under pressure.
DO NOT t ouch u nit p arts which m ight behot
from operation. Allow parts tocool before
attempting tomaintain, adjust orservice.
NEVER place y our hands orany part ofyour
body o rclothing inside ornear any moving
part while u nit i srunning.
NEVER direct discharge towards persons or
property. Thrown objects may r icochet back
towards operator. ALWAYS stand clear ofthe
discharge area.
ALWAYS disengage attachment, stop unit
and engine, remove key, engage parking
brake, and allow moving parts tostop before
leaving operator's position.
Use extreme caution ongravel surfaces.
Disengage PTO when a ttachment isnot i n
use and when c rossing gravel surfaces.
DO NOT o perate unit i fsafety interlock
system i sdamaged ordisabled. Check safety
interlock before each u se.
ALWAYS remove key toprevent unauthorized
use.
DO NOT operate at too fast a rate. Slow
down before turning.
Stop engine before removing grass catcher or
unclogging chute.
DO NOT mow on wet grass. Reduced
traction could cause sliding.
DO NOT try to stabilize the machine by
putting your foot on the ground.
Know the weight of loads. Limit loads to those
you can safely control and the unit can safely
handle.
ALWAYS keep protective structures, guards
and panels in good repair, in place and
securely fastened.
Do not operate without either entire grass
catcher or the discharge guard in place.
DO NOT operate in reverse unless absolutely
necessary. ALWAYS look down and behind
before and while backing; especially for
children.
