TO REPLACE MOWER BLADE DRIVE BELT
(See Fig. 24)

decal on the mower housing
BELT REMOVAL-
o Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position°
o Move attachment lift lever forward to lower mower to
its lowest position.
° Roll belt off engine pulley°
° Work belt off both mandrel pulleys and idler pulleys,,
o Pull belt away from mower..
BELT INSTALLATION -
o Install new belt in reverse order of removal.
° Make sure belt is in all pulley grooves and inside all
belt guides.

TO ADJUST BRAKE (See Fig. 25)
• Depress clutcWbrake pedal and engage parking brake.
° Measure distance between brake operating arm and
nut "A" on brake rod.
° Engage parking brake and recheck distance,,

thorized service center.

bottom side of left footrest.
° Remove mower (See "TO REMOVE MOWER" in this
section of this manual)°
• Remove belt from stationary idler and clutching idler,,
° Remove belt from engine pulley_
. Roll belt over top of transaxle pulley.
° install new belt by reversing above procedure.
