5. Clogged mower deck vent holes from buildup of
grass, leaves, and trash around mandrels.
1. Obstruction in clutchmechanism.
2. Worn/damagedmowerdrive belt.
3. Frozenidler pulley.
4. Frozenblade mandrel.
1. Enginespeed too slow.
2. Travel speed toofast.
3. Wet grass.
4. Mowerdeck notlevel.
5. Low/uneven tireair pressure.
6. Worn, bent or loose blade.
7. Buildupof grass, leavesand trashundermower.
8. Mowerdave beltworn.
9. Bladesimproperlyinstalled.
t0. Improperbladesused.
11. Cloggedmowerdeckvent holes from buildup of

1. Switch is "OFF".

1. Engine throttle control not set at =SLOW"
position for 30 seconds before stopping engine.
t. Check wiring,switches and connections.If not
corrected,contactan authorizedservicecenter/
department.
t. Replace blade. Tighten blade bolt.
2. Level mower deck.
3. Clean underside of mower housing.
4. Replace blade mandrel.
5. Clean around mandrels to open vent holes.
1. Remove obstruction.
2_ Replace mowerdave belt.
3. Replace idlerpuUay.
4. Replace blade mandrel.
1. Place throttlecontrolin =FAST"position.
2. Shift to slowerspeed.
3. Allowgrassto drybefore mowing.
4. Level mowerdeck.
5. Check tiresfor properair pressure.
6. Replase/sharpenblade. Tighten blade bolt.
7. Clean undersideof mowerhousing.
8. Replace mowerdrive belt.
9. Reinstallbladessharp edge down.
10. Replacewith bladeslistedin this manual.
11. Clean around mandrelsto open vent holes.
1. Turn switch "ON".
2. Replace bulb(s).
3. Check/replace light switch.
4. Check wiring and connections.
5. Replace fuse.
t. Replace battery.
2. Check/cleanall connections.
3. Replace regulator.
4. Replace alternator.
1. Move throttle control to =SLOW _ position and allow
to idle for 30 seconds before stopping engine.
