until guide b ar s tops a gainst clutch
drum sprocket.
6. Remove
the oldchain.
7. Carefully remove new chain f rom
package. Hold c hain w ith the drive
links asshown,

8. Place c hain o ver a nd behind
clutch, fitting t he drive links i nto the
clutch d rum sprocket,
9. Fit b ottom o fdrive links between
the teeth i nthe sprocket inthe
nose o fthe guide bar.
10. F it c hain d rive links i nto bar
groove.
11. P ull guide bar f orward until chain i s
snug inthe guide bar g roove. En-
sure alldrive l inks are inthe bar
groove.
12. I nstall the chain b rake.
13. I nstall chain b rake n uts; finger
tighten only. Donot t ighten any fur-
ther a tthis point. Proceed toCHAIN

The
chain m ust not m ove a tidle speed.
The carburetor
has been c arefully set
atthe factory. Adjustments
may be
necessary
ifyou notice a ny ofthefol-
lowing conditions:
• Chain moves at idle. See IDLE
SPEED-T adjusting
procedure.
• Saw will not idle, See IDLE SPEED-T
adjusting
procedure.
Idle Speed-T
Allow engine to idle, If the chain
moves, idle is too fast.
If the engine
stalls, idle is too slow, Adjust speed
until engine runs without chain move-
ment (idle too fast) or stalling (idle too
slow), The idle speed screw is located
in the area above the primer bulb and
is labeled T.
• Turn idle screw (T) clockwise
to in-
crease engine speed.
• Turn idle screw (T) counterclockwise
to decrease
engine speed,
