Conditions which require g uide bar
maintenance:
• Saw cuts toone sideoratanangle.
• Saw has tobeforced t hrough t he
cut.
• Inadequate
supply o foiltothebar
and chain.
Check t hecondition oftheguide bar
before e ach useand each time the
chain issharpened. Aworn guide bar
will d amage thechain andmake cut-
tingdifficult.
After e ach use, e nsure O N/STOP
switch is intheSTOP p osition, then
clean allsawdust from theguide bar
andsprocket hole.
Tomaintain guide bar:
• Move ON/STOP
switch t oSTOP.
• Loosen a nd remove c hain brake
nuts andchain brake. R emove bar
and chain from saw.
• Clean t heoilholes andbargroove
after e ach 5 hours o foperation.

CLEAN AIRFILTER

after 1 5tanks offuelor5 hours o fop-
eration, whichever comes f irst.Clean
more frequently industy conditions. It
isadvisable toreplace y our a irfilter
witha new one after e very 50hours o f
operation, orannually, whichever
comes first.Toclean filter:
1. Loosen 3 screws oncylinder cover.
2. Remove cylinder cover.
3. Remove airfilter.
4. Clean theairfilter using hot s oapy
water. Rinse w ithclean cool w ater.
Airdrycompletely before reinstal-
ling.
5. Reinstall airfilter.
6. Reinstall airfiltercover and3
screws. Tighten s ecurely.
