CAUSE
° Out of fuel,
• Engine not "CHOKED"
properly.
• Engine flooded.
o Bad spark plug,
• Dirty air filter.
= Dirty fuel filter.
• Water in fuel.
= Loose or damaged wiring°

Service Adjustments
o Engine valves out of
adjustment,
• Dirty air filter.
° Bad spark plug.
• Weak or dead battery.
• Dirty fuel filter.

• Loose or damaged wiring.

• Engine valves out of
adjustment,
= Clutch/brake pedal not
depressed
° Attachment clutch is
engaged,
° Weak or dead battery_
° Blown fuse,
• Corroded battery terminals.
• Loose or damaged wiring.
° Faulty ignition switch.
• Faulty solenoid or starter,
• Faulty operator presence

° Cutting too much grass/too

• Throttle in "CHOKE"
position.
CORRECTION
• Fill fuel tank.

attempting to start.
° Replace spark plug.
• Clean/replace air filter.
° Replace fuel filter.
• Drain fuel tank and carbure
tor, refill tank with fresh
gasoline and reptace fuel
filter,
• Check all wiring.
