CHAIN ADJUSTMENT

CLEAN FUEL FILTER
To clean fuelfilter,drainyourunitby
runningdryof fuel, removefuel cap/re-
tainerassemblyfromtank. Pullfilter
fromtank and removefromline. Clean
withmild detergentand rinse.Drythor-
oughly,reassemble.
CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
WARNING: The chainwillbe moving
dudngmostof this procedure. W ear
yourprotective equipmentand observe
all safetyprecautions. D uringthe low
speedmixture adjustment r echeckidle
speed aftereachturnof the screw.The
chainmust notmove at idlespeed.
Carburetor adjustment is criticalandif
doneimproperly= can permanently dam-
age the engineas well as the carbure-

Old fuel,a dirtyair filter,dirtyfuelfilter,
orfloodingmay give the impression of
an improperly adjusted carburetor.
