PIP OPERATION

PIP Functions
using Universal
Remote
• PIP On/Off: Press the PIP key to display the PIP inset. Press it
again to remove the PIP inset.
• SWAP:
Press the SWAP key to swap the main picture with the
PIP inset. Press SWAP again to return to the original display.
• FREEZE: Press FREEZ to freeze motion of the picture shown in
the PIP inset. Press FREEZ again to return to a live PIP inset.
• PIP Size: Select PIP Size in the PIP Menu to choose between
seeing a small or large PIP inset.
• Moving the PIP Inset: Use the Left/Right and Up/Down arrow
keys to move the PIP inset to the desired location of the TV screen.

PIP On/Off: Move pointer to left of TV screen and press on PIP On
to display the PIP inset. Move the PIP inset to the desired location on
the screen and press the trackball to set it in place. Press on PIP Off
to remove the PIP inset.
SWAP: Move pointer to left of TM screen and press on Swap to
swap the main picture with the PIP inset. Press on Swap again to
return to the original display.
FREEZE: Move pointer to left of TV screen and press on Freeze to
freeze motion of the picture shown in the PIP inset. Press on Freeze
again to return to a live PIP inset.
• PIP Size: Select PIP Size in the PIP Menu to choose between
seeing a small or large PIP inset.
• Moving the PIP Inset: Move pointer to left of TV screen and press
on Move PIP and move the PIP inset to desired location on the
screen. Press the trackball to set the inset in place.

This illustration shows the basic connection of your "IV to a
VCR. With your equipment setup in this manner, your televi-
sion has the following PIP capabilities:
•
Simultaneously view a video tape playing in the VCR and
a channel selected by the TV's tuner.
•
Simultaneously view two different channels; one selected
by the TV's tuner and another using the VCR's tuner.
•
Swap the main picture and the PIP inset.

• Set VCR'sTV/VCR* switch to
TV.
• Select Ant/Cable I as the Main
Source in the Source Menu.
• Select Video 1 as the PIP Source
in the Source Menu.
• Select a channel with the TV's
channel selector.
• Turn on PIP.
• Select a PIP channel using the
VCR's channel selector.

a Video Tape

• Set VCR's TV/VCR* switch to
"IV.
• Select Ant/Cable 1 as the Main
Source in the Source Menu.
• Select Video 1 as the PIP
Source in the Source Menu.
• Select a channel with the TV's
channel selector.
• Turn on PIP.
• Play a tape in the VCR and
view it in the PIP inset.
