squeeze it against t he upperhandleto operate the unit. Release it to stopengine

DriveControl
Thedrivecontrolislocated ontop of the upperhandleandisusedto engage the
drive.Squeeze it againstthe upperhandleto engage the drive;release it to slow
downor stopmowerfrom propelling.
Cutting Height AdjustmentLever

the cuttingheight,referto the Assembly S ection.
DeckWash
Your m ower'sdeckisequipped with a waterport on itssurface aspartof itsdeck
washsystem. U se the deckwashto rinsegrassclippings from the deck's underside.

Mulching Cover
Themulchingcoverisusedfor mulchingpurposes. Instead of collecting the grass
clippingsinagrasscatcher o r usingthesidedischarge c hute,somemowermodels
havetheoptionof recirculating the clippingsbackto the lawn.Thisiscalled
mulching.
GrassCatcher
Thegrasscatcher, l ocated at the rearof the mower,is usedto bagthe grass
clippingsfordisposal a t anothersite.Once the bagisfull, remove it upthroughthe
handles usingthestrapprovided andemptyit beforeanyfurthermowing.
Side DischargeCover
Yourmoweris shipped asamulcher. T odischarge the grass clippingsto theside
instead,followthe instructions inthe Assembly sectiontoattachthe sidedischarge
cover.
Keephandsandfeet awayfrom the chutearea on cutting deck.Referto
warning label on the unit.
RecoilStarter
