Keep hands, face, and f eet away from all m oving parts. Do not t ouch ortryto
stop t he impeller when itisrotating. Do not operate without guards inplace.
Do not p ut a ny object into openings. Do not u se with any opening blocked;
keep f ree ofdirt, debris, and anything that m ay r educe the airflow.
Do not t ouch the engine ormuffler. These parts g et e xtremely hot f rom
operation, even after the unit isturned off.
Do not o perate the engine faster than t he speed needed todothe job. D o
not r un the engine athigh s peed when n ot i nuse.
Always stop the engine when o peration isdelayed orwhen w alking from
one location toanother.
Stop t he engine for m aintenance, repair, toinstall orremove the blower
tubes. The unit must bestopped and the impeller nolonger turning to
avoid c ontact with the rotating blades.
Ifyou strike orcome i nto contact with aforeign object, stop t he engine
immediately and check fordamage. Do not o perate before repairing
damage. Do not o perate the unit w ith loose o rdamaged parts.
Use o nly g enuine factory replacement parts a nd accessories for t his
unit. These are available from your authorized service dealer. Use o fany
unauthorized parts o raccessories could l ead t oserious injury tothe user
ordamage tothe unit, and void y our warranty.
To reduce fire hazard, replace faulty muffler and spark arrestor. Keep the
engine and muffler free from grass, leaves, excessive grease orcarbon
build up.
Never use this unit f or s preading chemicals, fertilizers orother substances
which m ay c ontain toxic m aterials.
Never point the blower inthe direction ofbystanders, animals, windows or
automobiles.
OTHER SAFETY WARNINGS
Never store the unit, with fuel in the tank, inside a building where fumes
may reach an open flame (pilot lights, etc.) or sparks (switches, electrical
motors, etc.).
Allow the engine to cool before storing or transporting. Be sure to secure
the unit while transporting.
Store the unit in a dry place, either locked up or up high to prevent
unauthorized use or damage. Keep out of the reach of children.
Never douse or squirt the unit with water or any other liquid. Keep handles
dry, clean, and free from debris. Clean after each use, see Cleaning and
Storage instructions.
Keep these instructions. Refer to them often and use them to instruct other
users. If you loan this unit to others, also loan these instructions to them.
SPECIAL NOTE: Exposure to vibrations through prolonged use of gasoline
powered hand tools could cause blood vessel or nerve damage in the
fingers, hands, and joints of people prone to circulation disorders or
abnormal swelling. Prolonged use in cold weather has been linked to blood
vessel damage in otherwise healthy people. If symptoms occur such as
numbness, pain, loss of strength, change in skin color or texture, or loss of
feeling in the fingers, hands or joints, discontinue use of this tool and seek
medical attention. An anti-vibration system does not guarantee avoidance
of these problems. Users who operate power tools on a regular basis must
closely monitor their physical condition and the condition of this tool.
