Yournew tractor has been assembledat the factory. Reviewthe video cassette before
you begin.
When right or left hand is mentionedin
this manual,it means,from your point of
view, when you are in the operatingposi-
tion (seated behindthe steeringwheel).
TO REMOVE TRACTOR FROM
CARTON
UNPACKCARTON
1. Cut along dotted lines on all four pan-
els of carton. Removeend panelsand
lay side panelsflat.
2. Removepackingmaterials.
3. Removeprotectivematerialsfrom trac-
tor hood and grille.
mMPORTANT: Checkfor and removeany
staples in skid that may puncturetires
where tractor is to roll off skid.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR TRACTOR
CHECK BATTERY
1. Lift hood to raised position.
NOTE: If this battery is put into service
after month andyear indicatedon label
(label located betweenterminals)charge
battery for minimumof one hourat 6-10
amps.(See "BATTERY"in Maintenance
section of this manualfor charginginstruc-
tions).
2. ReleaseLH. seat slide on seat pan by
pulling out on adjustmenthandle and
sliding it to the rear positionexposing
seat mountingholes from bottom.Slide
R.H.slide to same rear position.
3. Mountrear of seat on slides using
mountingbolts and lock washersas
shown.
4. Pullout on adjustment handleand
slide seat all the way forward.Install
front mounting bolts and lock washers.
Tightenall mounting boltssecurely.
5. Lowerseat into operatingposition and
sit on seat.Press clutch/brakepedal all
the way'down. If operatingposition is
not comfortable,adjustseat.
Toadjust seat:Grasp adjustment handle
and pull out, slide seat to desiredposition
and releaseadjustmenthandle.

mNSTALL SEAT
Seat position should be adjusted forward
or backward so that the operator can
comfortably reach clutch/brake pedal and
safely operate the tractor.
1. Remove the two (2) bolts and flat
washers securing the seat to card-
board packing. Keep the two (2) bolts
only and place them with the two (2)
identical bolts and four (4) washers in
the parts bag. Discard the flat washers
and cardboard packing.
Mounting BoUts
NOTE: You may now roll or drive your
tractor off the skid. Follow the appropriate
instruction below to remove the tractor
from the skid.
TO ROLL TRACTOR OFF SKID
(See
Operation section for mocation and
function of
controms)
1. Press lift lever plunger and raise
attachment lift lever to its highest po-
sition.
2. Release parking brake by depressing
brake pedal.
3. Place freewheel control in transmission
disengaged position (See "To Trans-
port" in the Operation section of this
manual).
4. Roll tractor forward off skid.
