SAN fabric switch interoperability rules

HP supports three heterogeneous switch SAN configurations:
Interoperable routed fabrics

Dual interoperable, heterogeneous SAN fabrics

Interoperable, heterogeneous switch fabrics

Interoperable routed fabric

Connecting B-series and M-series edge fabrics through an MP Router allows for an interoperable
routed fabric. You can share devices between these fabrics with the LSAN feature of the MP Router.
See
Table 33
Dual interoperable, heterogeneous SAN fabrics
A dual interoperable, heterogeneous SAN consists of two fabrics, with each fabric comprised
exclusively of switches from a different series.
HP supports dual interoperable SAN fabrics for the following switch-series combinations:
A SAN with one fabric containing B-series switches only and a second fabric containing C-series
switches only
