• Adding a Title
eWhon Set to MPEG4 Playback Mode, Title In
Function is not possible. (PV-GS200 only}
eThe Title In Function and Digital Effects cannot
be used simultaneously.
eThe Title In Function and RapidFirc
Consecutive Photcshot cannot be used
simultaneously.
eWhon a title is displayed in Tape Playback:
MOde, the title is not output from the DV
Terminal.
eThe Multi-Piuturs Mode cannot be used once
the title is inserted.
eA full-colored title made on other equipment
cannot bo played b;.tck or added to the picture
with this Camcordcr.
eA title with size other than 640×480 pixcls
cannot bo displ;.tyed.
eWhon recording of MPEG4 moving pictures is in
progress, Title in Function cannot be used.

eWhon the title or the Multi screen is displayed,
recording and playback: cannot be performed.
eDudng external input or DV input, you cannot
use Title In Function or display titles on the Multi
screen. Select the desired titles to display thorn
on the screen before connouting the sable to
the Carncordor.

eperform the DPOF Settings with your
Carncordor.
eVerifying the DPOF Settings m;.ty take a little
time. Wait until the LACCESSI Lamp goes out.
• LockSetting
eThe Look Setting carded out by this Carnucrdor
is only effectivo for this Camcorder.
eThe SO Memory Card has ;_t w rite proteution
switch on it. If the switch is moved to the [LOCKJ
side, you cannot wdte to or format the Card. If it
is moved back, you can.
eMPEG4 data recorded by another Carnccrdor
may not be able to cancel the Iouk setting.

Playing Back on Your TV
eDopending on your TV, nothing may bo shown
even if you correctly connect the Camcorder
with your TV. In this case, sot [AV JACK] on the
[AV IN/OUT 1or [INITIALJ Sub-Menu to LOUTJ.
• If you sot [AV JACKJ on the [AV IN!OUT]
Sub-Menu to [INiOUTJ, nothing will be shown
on the TV Surocn except during playback.
• Piotsro size m;_ty be displayed differently when
playing back a Cinema picture on a widc-surcon
TV with Playback Digital Effect.
• We recommend setting the [SCREEN l On the
[DISPLAY l Sub-Menu to [NORMAq when

Recording Pictures from a Card onto a
Tape
oWhon recording the Card Image onto ;_tT;.tpo,
its Size is transformed into 720x480 pixels
according to the OV format.
• If you attempt to record a still picture with a
large imago size on a Tape, there may be a
reduction in the quality of the imago.
oThe MPEG4 d;_ttauannot be recorded on a
Tape. (PV-GS200 only)

Audio Dubbing
oThe bl;.tnk Section of a tape cannot be dubbed.
oSounds sent through the DV Terminal cannot
be dubbed.
• If ;_ttape has a non-recorded portion when the
tape is dubbed, images and sounds may bo
disturbed when this portion of the tape is pl;.tyed
bauk.
• If you set the tape counter bauk to 0 at the
position where you want to stop Audio Dubbing
so as to make it possible to use the Memory
Stop Function (-,,,{4-), A udio Dubbing is
terminated automatically when the tape roaches
this position.
• In the uaso of importing data recorded with
Audio Dubbing to a PC using the PCs softw;.tro,
only the original sound (ST1) may be imporfed,
depending on the software.

Recording the Contents of Other
Equipment
oYou uannot record on a tape when MPEG4
recording from external input signals is in
progress. (PV-GS200 only)
oYou cannot record on a card when recording on
a tape from external input signals is in progress.
Recording to a Card
If you sot the Mode Dial to Card Recording Mode,
you can use the Photoshot function for external
input signals.
oBlack Streaks may appear at the 4 edges of the
image.
Analog-Digital Conversion
oWhon the Carncordor is connected with other
digit;_tl video equipment through its DV Termin;.tl,
images recorded in analog form from other
external equipment can bo output to the digital
video equipment through the DV Tormin;.tl.
oTc DV-cutput analog video signals sent from
other equipment, set IDV OUT] on the
[AV IN/OUT 1Sub-Menu to [ON 1. (Normally,
keep the [DV OUT 1set to [OFF]. If it is set to
[ON], the quality of the image may bo
disturbed.)
oWhon using AV Cable and DV Cable (optional)
at tho same time, detauh the Grip Bolt first for
easy connecting.
