EPSON StatusMonitor for Macintosh

The StatusMonitor utility helps you keep track of the printer,
shows you how much ink and paper are remaining, and alerts
you if it detects a printer error.
You can use this utility to check the paper path, paper size,
paper type, and you can also check how much ink is remaining
before printing. See page 5-23 for more details about the

EPSON StatusMonitor for Macintosh.

Nozzle Check

Check the nozzles if you notice a decline in print quality, and if
the nozzle check indicates the print head needs cleaning, you
can access the Head Cleaning utility directly from the Nozzle
Check utility. Check the nozzles again after cleaning to confirm
that the print head nozzles have been cleaned. See page 8-37 for
more information.

Head Cleaning

You may need to clean the print head if you notice a decline
in print quality. Before and after print head cleaning, use the
Nozzle Check utility to check whether the print head needs
to be cleaned (again if necessary). You can access the Nozzle
Check utility directly from the Head Cleaning utility. See
"Cleaning the Print Head" on page 8-37 for more information.

Print Head Alignment

If you notice a misalignment of vertical lines, use this utility to
align the print head. See "Aligning the Print Head" on page
8-41 for more information.
