2. Select the printer you want to monitor from the Installed
Printers list, and then click Monitoring Preferences on the
Settings menu. The dialog box below appears.

Monitoring Interval
You can adjust the monitoring interval by dragging the
slider.
Note:
Setting a short monitoring interval may slow down some
applications.

Background Monitoring
If this is turned on, the Status Alert dialog box
automatically appears to inform you of the printer
status while you are using application programs. You
can select when the Alert dialog box appears by using
the Status Alert options on the right.
