Adjusting the balanceand
fader
You can adjust the balance and fader.

Press _ repeatedly until "BAU' or
"FAD" appears.
Each time you press _, the item changes
as tbllows:
LOW* --* MID* --, HI* --*
BAL (left-right) --, FAD (front-rear)
* When EQ3 is activated (page 12).

Press the volume +/- button to adjust
the selected item.
Note
Adjust within 3 seconds after selecting the item.
Quicklyattenuatingthe
sound
Press @.
Tbe "_FT" appears in the display.
qb restore the previous volume level, press
again.
Canceling the beep sound
Press @ while pressing _ down.
qb activate 1be beep sound again, press these
buttons again.
Note
If you connect an optional power amplifier and do not
use the butit-in amptifier, ft_e beep sound will be
deactivated.
Setting the equalizer (EQ3)
You can select an equalizer curve for 7 music
types (XPLOD, VOCAL, CLUB, JAZZ, N-
AGE, ROCK, CUS'I, and OFF (equalizer OFF)).
You can store a different equalizer selting for
each source.
Selecting the equalizer curve

(Radio or CD).

Press _ repeatedly until the
desired equalizer curve.
Each time you press _, the item
changes.

To cancel the equalizing effect, select "OFF."
Adjusting the equalizer curve
You can store and adjust 1he equalizer settings
for different tone ranges.

Press _ to select a source
(Radio or CD).
Press _ repeatedly to select the
desired equalizer curve.

O Press _ repeatedly to select the
desired tone range.
Each time you press _, the tone range
changes.
LOW --+ MID -4 HI (-4 BAL --+ FAD)
O Press the volume +/- button
repeatedly to adjust to the desired
volume level.
The volume level is adjustable by 1 dB
steps t?om 10 dB 1o + 10 dB.

Repeat step _ and O to adjust the
equalizer curve.
'lk_ restore the faclory-set equalizer curve,
press _ for 2 seconds.
After 3 seconds, the display returns to
normal play mode.
Note
When EQ3 is set to "OFF," you cannot adjust the
equalizer curve settings.
