Afterthe cam handlesandpivot shafthavebeenassembled to thebase,it will be possible t o accurately positionthetemplates for close
fitting joints,
Notethat therearesomegraduations on bothtemplatesupports.
• Rotating the cam handlesothat thepointer l inesup with one of thegraduations permitsaccurate front-to-backpositioning of the
template.
• Camhandlesare designed to provideinfinitetemplateadjustment.
Onegraduationequals1/64"of movement o f thetemplate.
• Rotating the cam handlesothat thepointerlevermovestowardthe front of thebase.causesthetemplateto alsomovetowardsthefront
of the base.
• Conversely rotatingthecamhandlesothat thepointerlevermovestowardthe backof the base, c ausesthetemplateto alsomove
towardsthe backof the basealso.
1) Assemble one of the camhandlesto the pivotshaftusinga #10-32x 5/8"long panhead machine screwanda 13/64"I.D.x 9/16" LD.
washer,asshown in Figure 9,
2) Usecareso that the pivotshaftfits intothe hex-shaped holein thecam handle. T hepivotshaftmayfit tightly intothe camhandle;
this is normal.
3) Makesurethat thepivot shaftbottoms*out i nsidethe cam handle.
