ASSEMBLY OF THETOP CLAMPING BARTO THEDOVETAIL BASE
1) Assemble o ne of the boltsupportsto bothof the 5/16-18X 3-1/2"longroundhead squareneck boltsas shown in Figure 2.
2) Alignthe square on the boltwiththe squareholein the boltsupport.Theboltsupportisto =bottom-out"againstthe bolt asshown in
Figure 3.

3) Assemble one ofthespringsto eachof thenylonspring retainers by pushingthespringoverthe raisedcylindricalportionof the
springretaineras shownin Figure 3a andFigure3b,
4) Positionthe dovetailbaseon a fiat smoothsurfaceso the backof the baserestson thesurface.
NOTE: ALTHOUGH B OTH ENDS OFTHEDOVETAIL BASE ARESHOWN ASSEMBLED IN THEFOLLOWING FIGURES, THEACTUAL A SSEM-
BLY IS DONE ONEEND ATATIME.
5) Fromthe bottomof the base,inserta boltwithbolt supportthroughtheslot in the top of the basesothe raisedportionof the bolt
supportgoesinto theslot, asshownin Figure4,
