Remove the four screws from the cover.
(Rear side)
NOTE
Keep the removed screws in a safe place. They will be used when reattaching the
cover to the instrument after installation.

Insert the module into the socket by fol-
lowing the procedure below.

Insert the module vertically in the socket and
position the screws (of the module) to the
female screws respectively.

Press the top of the connector as shown, then
push the connector firmly into the socket.

Tighten each screw of the module to each
female screw of the Tyros4 with your hand as
shown.

Re-install the cover you removed in step
3, in reverse order.

Check that the installed module is func-
tioning properly.

Set the Tyros4 right-side up, and then turn the
power on.

Call up the Format operation display.
[VOICE CREATOR]  [E] EXPANSION
MODULE

Execute the Format operation following the
messages on the display.
If the module has been installed properly, the appro-
priate available memory size is indicated in the
PROPERTY display.

Loosen both the screws with your hand
as shown below.
NOTICE
• If you cannot loosen the screws with your hand, use a Phillips
screwdriver. In this case, be careful NOT to scratch the module or
the Tyros4.
• Be careful NOT to drop the screws inside the instrument when loos-
ening them.

Pull the module vertically out of the
socket.

Attach the cover to the bottom panel.
