CHOKE
CONTROL
Activatingthe chokecontrolclosesthe chokeplateon carburetorand
aids in startin_,,,|engine.
The chokeleverslidesbetweenthe RUN I { I
and CHOKE I_"1 positions.
PRIMER
Pressingthe primer,makingsureto coverthe vent
hole whenpushing,forcesfuel directlyinto the
engine'scarburetorto aid in cold-weatherstarting.
RECOIL STARTER
HANDLE
The recoilstarterhandleis usedto start theengine.
GAS CAP
Removethe gas cap to add fuel.
KEY
The key is a safetydevice.It mustbe fully insertedin
order for theengine to start. Removethe key whenthe
snow throweris not in use.
NOTE: Do notturn the key in an attemptto startthe
engine.Doingso maycause it to break.
AUGER
Whenengaged,the augerrotationdrawssnow intothe augerhousing
and throwsit out the dischargechute.Rubberpaddleson the auger
also aid in propellingthe snowthroweras they comein contactwith
the pavement.
AUGER
CONTROL
Locatedon the upper handle,the augercontrolhandle is usedto
engageand disengagedriveto the auger.Squeezethecontrol handle
againstthe upper handleto engagethe auger; releaseit to disengage.
MUFFLER
Engineexhaustexitsthe enginevia the muffler.
